Karzai: lui fait-on encore confiance?

Bien sûr, Karzai a un poste légitimé par une élection...

"As President Obama planned to speak with Hamid Karzai today, Gen. Jim Jones, the former White House national security adviser, wouldn’t say whether he trusts Afghanistan’s president.

“What I think doesn’t really matter,” Jones said in an interview on CNN. “The fact is that the Afghans have elected him.”

Jones called the presence of corruption in the Afghan government “unfortunate” and blamed Pakistan’s lack of engagement for slowing down reforms. And he said that while he’s worked closely with Karzai since 2004, the reelected Afghan leader is simply “who we have to work with.” He stressed the word “have.”

Obama is scheduled to speak with Karzai over video, two days after the president met with his national security team to talk about Afghanistan."
