"Former wrestling executive Linda McMahon has made it official, announcing her plans to seek for a second time the Republican endorsement for Connecticut's U.S. Senate seat.
McMahon on Tuesday repeated her message from the 2010 campaign that she's "a proven job creator" who knows how to help get the nation back to work.
She says things haven't improved since her last race, and cites unemployment and the national debt.
McMahon ran against former Democratic Attorney General Richard Blumenthal in 2010, but lost after spending about $50 million of her own money on the race. McMahon publicly refused to take any special interest money or PAC money during her first Senate run.
"When I get to Washington I want to be the voice of the people of Connecticut and not owe special favors," McMahon told ABC's "Good Morning America" in 2010."
