"Rosaforte wrote on Twitter that Obama and Woods, who has more tournament winnings than any golfer in the sport's history, were playing their first round together. Also playing: Jim Crane, the owner of the Florida resort where Obama is spending the weekend.
Obama golfed Saturday with Woods's former coach, Butch Harmon, along with Crane, who also owns baseball's Houston Astros; Houston businessman Milton Carroll; and Houston attorney Tony Chase.
Obama hosted Woods at the White House in April 2009, seven months before the golfer's career went into tailspin after it emerged that he had cheated on his wife with scores of women.
There was no word on how Obama played Saturday or Sunday, but Rosaforte tweeted that Woods "holed out greenside bunker" for a birdie on the first hole."
