Le 12 août, le Président recevait à la Maison blanche les Packers de Green Bay. Avec son humour habituel, il a souligné que c'était difficile pour un fan des Bears de poser une tel geste!
"There were cheeseheads on the South Lawn Friday when President Obama — with great reluctance — welcomed the champion Green Bay Packers to the White House.
"I am just going to come out and say it," Obama said. "This hurts a little bit. This is a hard thing for a Bears fan to do. It doesn't hurt as much as the NFC championship game hurt, but it still hurts. You guys come into my house to rub it in. What are you going to do, go to Ditka's house next?"
The president had predicted his beloved Chicago Bears would win the Super Bowl — one of a lengthy list of questionable predictions that had his hometown Chicago Tribune wondering whether Obama is actually a sports jinx. But the rival Packers win over Obama's Bears in the NFC title game smashed the prez's prediction."
