Ukraine: les options d'Obama

Comme Obama ne prévoit pas de débarquement des troupes sur le terrain, quelles seraient les autres options envisagées?  Chasser la Russie du G8, geler les avoirs russes, annuler des visas, déployer la flotte américaine ou céder sur la Crimée pour se concentrer sur l'intégrité territoriale de l'Ukraine...

 "“This chapter has proven decisively that when it comes to soft power, the power of attraction, Vladimir Putin has no game,” one senior administration official said on a call with reporters. “So he’s left with hard power. It’s a very dangerous game to play in Ukraine because the Ukrainian people are not going to stand for it and neither is the international community.”

 But what the international community will do exactly remains to be seen. U.S. officials said there would soon be a statement from all 28 NATO members decrying Russia’s incursion of the Crimean peninsula, but one official said not to expect major change “in the next 24 hours.”

 So like during his staredowns with Putin over National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden and chemical weapons in Syria, Obama’s choices are limited.
