Le débat le plus laid de l'histoire?

C'est à mon avis un bien triste spectacle que nous ont offert les deux candidats ce soir, un débat qu'on pouvait aisément confondre avec une mauvaise série américaine sur la politique. Hillary a été moins habile que dans la première joute et Trump n'a pas été plus honnête qu'à l'habitude. Mais tous et toutes garderont le souvenir d'un cirque où tous les coups sont autorisés et où se rouler dans la boue constitue une compétence incontournable. Une fois de plus très peu de contenu et encore moins de respect. Je m'intéresse à la politique américaine depuis plus de trente ans déjà et je suis un habitué des campagnes rudes, mais cette fois nous entrons dans une autre dimension.

There were only brief reprieves of policy discussion that soon devolved back into a contentious affair, even as they had to balance their attacks with flashes of geniality before a town-hall audience of undecided voters."
