"YouTube, hoping to become a one-stop destination for 2012 campaign video, on Wednesday launched an election hub for live campaign coverage.
The channel will stream live speeches from the national political conventions, as well as the presidential debates in the fall. “You won’t need to go anywhere else for the must-watch moments of this election cycle … they’re all happening here,” YouTube News Manager Olivia Ma promised in a blog post introducing the hub.
YouTube is partnering with several news organizations, including The New York Times, ABC News, Larry King, Univision, Al Jazeera, The Wall Street Journal and BuzzFeed. Ma, in an interview with the Associated Press, said YouTube sought both “established names” and “new voices” to partner with. Ma was not immediately available for comment."
