Washington au cinéma et à la télévision: période faste pour la capitale américaine

Pour ma part j'ai un faible pour Homeland et House of cards.

"While Washington-based television has had its successes before — perhaps never more notably than with seven seasons of “The West Wing” on NBC from 1999 to 2006 or Fox’s “24” from 2001 to 2010 — the sheer volume of current shows coupled with their critical acclaim makes this particular period something of a golden age for Washington-centric programming.

For those in the industry, there’s no shortage of theories about why Washington is hot right now — everything from an increased interest fueled by Obama to a level of dysfunction that draws eyeballs like a car crash to a feeling that because of the Internet and intense scrutiny of politicians’ every move, we see our leaders as flawed human beings, which makes for great drama and comedy, too.
