For those in the industry, there’s no shortage of theories about why Washington is hot right now — everything from an increased interest fueled by Obama to a level of dysfunction that draws eyeballs like a car crash to a feeling that because of the Internet and intense scrutiny of politicians’ every move, we see our leaders as flawed human beings, which makes for great drama and comedy, too.
