"Welcome to the revolution": les jeunes marchent pour un meilleur contrôle des armes

Ils sont jeunes et les opposants le leur reprochent, mais ils voteront bientôt et ils passent le message. Parmi la vingtaine de jeunes à prendre la parole, plusieurs incitent les autres à s'inscrire sur les listes électorales pour voter contre ceux qui refusent de bouger sur la question des armes à feu.

 “To the leaders, skeptics and cynics who told us to sit down, stay silent and wait your turn, welcome to the revolution,” Cameron Kasky, a Stoneman Douglas High student, said to a crowd that packed at least 10 blocks of Pennsylvania Avenue. “Either represent the people or get out. Stand for us or beware. The voters are coming.”

About 20 speakers — all of them kids or teens — were scheduled to address the crowd, alongside performances by celebrities including Ariana Grande, Common, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson, Vic Mensa, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Ben Platt.
