Obama rappelle les croisades aux chrétiens américains et provoque la colère des républicains!

On a bien souvent répété qu'Obama se contentait de simples mots plutôt que de passer à l'action. C'est affirmation est discutable et elle sous-estime l'importance de certains mots. ce que le président américain a dit aujourd'hui, je ne pensais pas l'entendre de la bouche d'un président. Et ce n'est pas la première fois qu'il me surprend. L'auteur de l'article débute d'ailleurs son texte sur l'allocution du président en rappelant quelques déclarations tranchées de Barack Obama. Si des républicains s'indignent, les propos n'en sont pas moins vrais. La photo qui coiffe ce billet montre le salut respectueux du président à l'endroit du Dalaï Lama qu'il a présenté comme un ami. Ce geste aussi a été critiqué...

“Humanity has been grappling with these questions throughout human history,” he told the group, speaking of the tension between the compassionate and murderous acts religion can inspire. “And lest we get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ. Some Republicans were outraged. “The president’s comments this morning at the prayer breakfast are the most offensive I’ve ever heard a president make in my lifetime,” said former Virginia governor Jim Gilmore (R). “He has offended every believing Christian in the United States. This goes further to the point that Mr. Obama does not believe in America or the values we all share.”
