Trump se moque du handicap d'un journaliste du New York Times: toujours la même recette

Pendant ma dernière chronique à Radio-Canada j'expliquais la "recette" de Donald Trump et je décortiquais la séquence. Il fait ou dit une énormité, il s'assure ainsi d'une bonne couverture médiatique, puis lorsqu'on s'indigne il attaque la presse trop partisane selon lui. S'il n'attaque pas les médias libéraux, il prétend plutôt qu'on le cite mal ou hors contexte. Au besoin, il modifie sa version pour en atténuer la portée. Et ensuite... Il recommence. Sa dernière provocation visait un journaliste du New York Times qui remettait en question l'affirmation de Trump selon laquelle il aurait vu des milliers de Musulmans crier leur joie après les attaques du 11 septembre 2001. Pour ridiculiser le journaliste il a mimé les gestes. La direction du New York Times s'est indignée de ce comportement.

 "Trump went on, “Now the poor guy — you ought to see the guy: ‘Uhh I don’t know what I said. I don’t remember.’ He’s going, ‘I don’t remember. Maybe that’s what I said.’” As he spoke, Trump launched into an impression which involved gyrating his arms wildly and imitating the unusual angle at which Kovaleski’s hand sometimes rests.

“We think it's outrageous that he would ridicule the appearance of one of our reporters,” said a spokeswoman for the Times. The article cited by Trump was written by Kovaleski when he worked for The Washington Post and stated that in the aftermath of Sept. 11, “Law enforcement authorities detained and questioned a number of people who were allegedly seen celebrating the attacks and holding tailgate-style parties on rooftops while they watched the devastation on the other side of the river.”
