"President Obama doesn't mention God a lot in routine speeches and remarks -- and not very often when he's talking about jobs.

But Republicans in Congress are bringing down the president's wrath -- and now it's time to start invoking.

"The American people are with me with this," Obama said, in a speech on the American Jobs Act in front of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Georgetown. "It's time for folks running around spending all their time talking about what's wrong with America to spend some time rolling up their sleeves to help us make it right. There is nothing wrong in this country that we can't fix."

Republican House Speaker John Boehner of Ohio did not attend Obama's remarks, but the president addressed him just the same.

"If Congress tells you they don't have time, they've got time to do it," Obama said. "In the House of Representatives, what have you guys been debating? John, you've been debating a commemorative coin for baseball. You have legislation reaffirming that 'In God We Trust' is our motto. That is not putting people back to work."

Obama said, "I trust in God, but God wants to see us help ourselves, by putting people back to work." "
