Comme la majorité des partisans de l'équipe, j'ai passé quelques mois à ruminer la terrible saison 2012. Fraîchement arrivé de Boston je vois le résultat du premier match comme l'ennemi juré: victoire des Sox au compte de 8 à 2! Une saison prometteuse? Je compte bien faire mon pèlerinage annuel au Fenway park plus tard cet été!

Expectations being what they are — lower, it seems, than at any point in the past decade — the Red Sox will get only high marks for showing up at Yankee Stadium today and grinding out a feel-good 8-2 victory, their first Opening Day win since 2010.
Indeed, this represented progress for the Sox, hoping to finally turn the page after a 19-month demise that began with an epic collapse in September 2011 and has included pitchers feasting on beer and chicken during games, two managerial firings, daily drama from over-his-skis skipper Bobby Valentine and enough negativity to bring down even Dr. Phil.
