Oprah et la campagne 2012: elle n'en sera pas
L'appui de Winfrey était un atout majeur de la campagne 2008...
"“No, I'm going to be out there,” Oprah Winfrey said on CBS on Monday, explaining that she’s busy with her television network, which has struggled to attract viewers.
“I am 100 percent behind our president. I actually love our president and have the utmost respect for him and that office and what it takes to be there. I will not be out because I’m trying to fix the network," she said. Winfrey threw her weight behind Obama in 2007 with her first-ever presidential endorsement. The talk show queen then hit the trail for Obama, hosted fundraisers on his behalf and famously cried when he won the race. It didn’t go unnoticed.
The president thanked Winfrey for her ongoing support at a fundraiser last month. "And then, there is my good friend, Oprah, who very early on, when I was still running, just decided that she would support this guy with a name that nobody could pronounce,” Obama said. “And just like books and skin cream, when Oprah decides she likes you, then other people like you, too.”"
