Un ancien chef de police détenu à JFK: un nom de famille dérangeant?

L'ancien chef de police de Greenville a souvent séjourné à l'étranger sans qu'on s'intéresse particulièrement à son cas. C'était avant l'entrée en fonction de Donald Trump... J'ai souvent passé la frontière avec des groupes et systématiquement les douaniers américains s'arrêtent sur mes étudiants qui ont la peau plus foncée ou dont le nom a une consonance plus "exotique". Profilage?

 "Hassan is an immigrant, the Italian-born son of an Italian mother and a Somali father. He has lived in this country for 42 years and is a naturalized U.S. citizen. He has a U.S. passport and TSA Pre-check. He’s been out of the country dozens of times without incident. Not this time.
