"Those of you outside of the Northeast may not be aware of this," the host said, "there is an enormous blizzard that is hitting our area currently."
"My guess is if you are watching this program...New York is gone," Stewart concluded.
Stewart said he hoped that didn't end up being the case and expressed amazement that his studio audience showed up despite the blizzard warnings, as the crowd roared.
